A bit of Highland Park trivia ... In the 1940s, All-American football players Doak Walker and Bobby Layne played on the same team at Highland Park High School but went their separate ways to college -- Walker to SMU and Layne to UT. Obviously, one would have to be quite old to remember this. :) A belated welcome to the Great State of Texas, Karen. :) Today's jaunt was to Highland Park near Dallas
