I'm not giving govt a pass. Most people that support grandfathering tax laws, including the elderly that defend social security which is also a scam for my generation, tend to try to deflect the issue.

All I am saying is that passing a law that locks your taxes at a specific rate, with the only increases at half or less than inflation, while you continue to use *services* which are appreciating at the inflation rate, is a scam. Its not smarts or some great planning, its simply ripping off the next group of people that want to come there.

Blaming the govt for the credit bubble or blaming CA for some program or this or that has *nothing* whatsoever to do with it. Some 60 year old living next door to a young couple with kids should pay the same taxes as them. Its ridiculous to argue otherwise, those that do are talking their pocketbook and that is all.
