What is so interesting to me about your post is that whatever the GM employees make should not be a matter of dispute. It seems to me that the press has become so incompetent or biased that they cannot get to the bottom of the simplest of matters.

The real question is whether the Union wages and work rules are putting the US auto makers at a competitive disadvantage. How hard can it be to ascertain the manufacturing costs of the big three are higher than the foreign car manufacturers. Add up the cost of wages and benefits and divide. It is what it is. Why is this a matter of dispute?
