It's a battle but one you can win.

I suffered terrible withdrawals including the shakes and sweats and vomiting due to my massive consumption. I smoked almost 3 packs a day and chewed a can of Copenhagen a day. A chew of snuff is like the nicotine of 10 cigs so I was basically mainlining the shit. Wasn't pretty. Had a Dr years later ask me how I quit and I told him I just threw everything away one morning and he said that was actually dangerous given the amount of nicotine my body was used to and should have had some help quitting.

The point of all of that is don't be afraid to chew some gum if the urge becomes to great. Your body is used to being drugged and it will take some time for you body to get used to not being drugged.
