Not true. Their 2007 contract gave back quite a bit.

My understanding is pretty none of the "give backs" affect current employees. Some re-shuffling affected retirees and major cuts are for workers to be hired later.

With that contract at hand, it would still take GM some 20 to 30 years for costs to reach parity with competition (as old, overpaid employees leave and retire, and are replaced by more reasonably paid employees).
