Would you buy a car from, say, BMW if you thought they were going bankrupt within two months? Would you pay big bucks for a five year unlimited airline ticket from an airlines that was in chapter 11?

You do understand that under Chapter 11 the bankrupt entity continues to operate pretty much as normal?

It is clear that the Court would simply wipe out the union contracts that caused the problem in the first place to make GM a leaner organization and put them on equal footing with their competition. Ultimately, this is what is going to happen.
