Man, am I exposed to the wrong sectors today. Got some REIT and RETail shorts, plus some finance, which the market can't seem to get enough of, hedged with broad market stuff like SPY and RUT which are hurting because oil and materials can't seem to get up off the mat. Had no desire to have long tech exposure, but it's in all these indexes.

So I'm short the two strongest groups on the map, consumer and finance (banks and REITs both in there), and stuck with hedges dragged down by energy, materials, and tech. JOY!!!

I can understand the people buying homebuilders - yeah, try to catch that bottom. But WTF are they thinking on the REITs? Where are they going to GO from here? WTF, we gonna go back to 2007? Come on. Oh well, opportunity abounds I guess. I just wanted to stay flat for the holidays, but I guess that plan isn't gonna work.

I've got news for folks: if energy can't pick it's carcass up off the mat, it's NOT BULLISH for anything else. Especially finance. Deflationary wipeout, here we come...
