It's kind of like "Airborne," which is touted as being formulated by a second grade schoolteacher. Not anyone with any pharmaceutical or biological training, but a schoolteacher.

And people like my Mom like to tell me "you know, it was formulated by a schoolteacher," like that actually means the product works or something. Yet it flies off the shelves.

Never underestimate the power of a good ad campaign to sell a questionable cold remedy.
