I hear you... I'm searching for data on the early 80's, which is the nearest present-day comparison. The thing is that demand won't stop growing - it'll just grow slower. I've been bottom-fishing in energy trusts. I'm trying to back off until '09, but it's tempting. There are still major positions being unwound, not to mention tax-loss selling - big selloffs, and you never know when they're coming. Some say COS and CPG can still produce at $40, and won't need to cut distributions. PCA took a big run up recently. There are buyers out there, probably with a one or two year horizon. I'm going broke saving money ;) Jim
