If any of them had something worth bidding for, Renault or Toyota or some Chinese company would loan them money for options, like Renault eventually got 44% of Nissan.

But Toyota got its debt rating cut to AA, and they probably both resent this talk of bailouts for the Big 3, after they (TM and NSANY) each took risks to transplant and build plants here.

They evidently see nothing worth bidding for, yet.
