Westell was in the $18-19 range before the last conference call. We were hoping for a few signed contracts during the last conference call. Gary indicated 3 new signed contracts, the stock went from $19 to ~$25.

I'm still not selling any of my the Westell shares.

I'm concerned about Westell's ability to win an end-to-end ATM system against Alcatel. The Bell Atlantic deal isn't using the Westell DSLAM and GTE isn't looking for an end-to-end ATM system. Either Alcatel is killing Westell on price or has a superior DSLAM product. Westell has painted a picture that their SuperVision platform with Amati's DMT will be ready in 1Q97. That's the same time frame Alcatel's product will be ready, but Alcatel is winning the contracts... until later.
