I've been on a lot of beautiful drives, but two come to mind. I was 18 and on my way to Colo. We were driving South on 789 out of Creston Wyoming one early morning. The sun was coming up, so everything looked kind of red. The topography was hilly and there were barbed wire fences everywhere. We came up out of a dip and over a hill......more like a hump.......and there was a mt range in the background and a herd of Antelope bounding along the side of the road. Little ones, big ones, beautiful creatures. The scene was stunning. Another drive I'll never forget was over the "Chief Joseph Trail" out of Darby Mt. This was one of the most interesting and majestic drives. I swear the Nez Perce' carved the mts along the trail in their likeness. I know I've been to more beautiful places..........Mt Rainier Nat Park, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Ore Coast, Cali Coast, Chuckanut Drive........but the drive through the bad lands of Wyoming and the "Chief Joseph Trail" stick out the most in my mind.
