PPC chip is cheaper faster

Yes, yes, everything you say is true with PPC chips. Regardless of all the benefits of PPC, the undeniable fact remains: Intel is undisputed king of chips. Even the competitors are nipping its heels. The price advantage of the PPC is checked at bay by Apple's refusal to embrace CHRP. The Apple hardware around the PPC chip is expensive and eliminates any price advantage PPC had. If only CHRP was promoted heavily, this would be another story. Also the software for MAC OS development is not as widespread, further giving windows an edge and advantage for Intel chips.

Too bad Apple, Motorola, and IBM couldn't get their act together on promoting PPC heavily. I sense any new Power PC developments will be another lost cause.
