I believe that it is wise to diversify across asset classes. Each investor should identify a comfort level for % stocks, % bonds, and % cash equivalents. Right now I am about 84% equities, 9% bonds/GNMAs, and 7% cash. My equity percentage is about as high as it's ever been, due to the large increase in stock prices recently. My normal equity holding is about 70% of my financial assets.

Right now approximately 79% of my equities are U.S. stocks and mutual funds and 21% are international mutual funds.
