yeah, great idea.

Heco(Hawaii Electric) owns the legislature and charges the highest electric rates in the US. Actual cost over 50¢/kwh. Of course we have almost no auto pollution since the trade winds dissipate anything away. Nearly all of our electricity essentially comes from giant diesel generators making our state about 98% dependent upon oil. On the Big Island 15% of the electric comes from non polluting geothermal but Heco has adamantly opposed expanding that essentially free source of energy.
