well the statistics from 2003 in california had less than .5 kilowatt hour per mile as average for all EVs in the state. That was the really old technology back then, and since it is an average it is weighted by things like those old milk trucks that still represent a high % of the total of electric vehicles in the state

I don't know how this maps to horsepower but your number of 4 HP obviously won't propel anything. Something seems to be wrong in the formula. I am not familiar with the published reports on horsepower.
