Richard, For sake of "conversation" I'll act (but only this once) the role of PRLN contrarian. Besides the obvious obstacles of proving safety and effectiveness, there is the question of source of supply for pn355 and any additional substances with which is is compounded. While the source of pn355 is a well-guarded secret, what happens if someone else figures out from whence it comes and proceeds to "corner the market" on the supply source. Or what if the story of taxol is repeated for pn355? With taxol the issue was that it took so much of the source (pacific yew tree) to produce taxol that the species was endangered. I think this was solved when the active ingredient of taxol was synthesized. So, someone has to be concerned about the availability, price and abundance of the natural source from which pn355 comes. I certainly feel better now that we've gotten one of the worries out for all to see; any others that you can think of? Best regard, Bill in St. Louis.
