wheat free almond crackers:

There are a lot of products out there trying to imitate wheat. I don't use them for the same reason I don't drink non-alcoholic beer. It would remind me too much of what I am missing. If I want a wheat product, I will buy and eat it. For instance, I did away with an entire pumpkin pie with whipped cream over Thanksgiving. The only Thanksgiving food I really like. Still lost weight that week.

I just had a snack of cooked apples. cut up two Granny Smiths and cooked them with a 1/2 cup of water, heaping tablespoon of Splenda and some cinnamon. Each apple contains about 4 teaspoons of sugar, and I eat about 1/4 of the mix at a time. So I get two teaspoons of sugar when I eat it. I can live with that.

I am Christmas partying this evening, and will go off my diet. I find that I really don't want that much wheat or corn, but I will eat some candy. Sugar is my weakness. Thank God for Splenda! :>)
