When I was 15 my folks owned property on Shadow Mountain Lake. They decided to set up a boat rental there and I got to spend the summer renting little fishing boats with a 5 horse Evinrude engine. I loved it! One time I rigged one of those little boats to handle two of the Evinrudes. All of a sudden I had a speed boat of my own. Real early, when the lake was like glass, I'd set up that boat and race all over that lake. I never told anyone because the boat manufacturer cautioned against motors larger than 5 hp. It was prolly very unsafe.
