Bush is not a good man. He is a weak man and hired people around him who are afraid to tell him the truth.
This statement is totally inconsistent with the facts as we know them.
Even those who have been most critical of him, e.g., Bob Woodward, have stated that they believe he is a "good man" in the sense that the term is typically used -- that is, he has a good "heart", he is compassionate, he acts not in his self-interest but in what he believes to be the best interests of the nation. Only the Far Left Lunatics characterize him otherwise.
As to his appointments, for the most part, they've been quality individuals with a great deal of experience. A lot of people have disagreed with Rumsfeld's performance, but the bashing of Cheney has been totally without foundation and unwarranted.
Rice is probably the best Secretary of State we've had since Jim Baker. And there is absolutely no indication, had you done any reading on the subject, that ANY of his appointees were "yes men".
Bottom line, you're bashing Bush but your bashing is not based in fact, rather, it is based in partisanship. Which pretty much everything you've ever said in thousands of posts here has been, as well. |
