Yes but there is still a problem with the electrolyte, the acid. Not a big problem with current batteries because the volume is fairly light, but if everybody had the equivelent of 40 to 60 batteries it would be a different problem. Also there is some loss with the recycle, some stupid people will through the battery in the trash!
