You could say that, but it would not be an accurate statement.

Infinite space would require infinite time to get to it's size, and time hasn't been going on that long. It's only been about 15 billion years since the big bang which is a lot less time than infinity.

Maybe our universe is expanding into some place between universes, but that wouldn't be space as we know it. I'm not sure what it would be since it's outside our experience.
