all these people warned about was an impending crash in real estate prices, we all knew that was coming. What was missing from all this analysis was somebody stating that SWAPS and CDOs were out there based on these assets and they would bring down the banks. That would have been an interesting perspective but as far as I know nobody was saying that. It reminds me of Fleckenstein, that guy was wrong for 11 years. Finally he was right, big deal.
