Really good rapid transit on tracks is one bit of infrastructure several cities could use, even inter-city in some cases ... also broad-band fibre everywhere, starting with my house ... but what kind of employment would these generate, maybe not so broadly effective, and how long would it take the guvmint to get things done, how cost-effective would they be, maybe not very ... if it was politically possible, better to leave well enough alone ...
