marcos, "Significant signs of recovery by mid-09, i betcha ..."

FWIW, at the conclusion of the World Steel Conference in Paris last week, the attendee's were polled on their expectations for the future of steel prices. The overwhelming opinion was that the recovery will be V-shaped. That is, steel prices will recover as fast as they have fallen, starting mid-year.

If so, this will have implications for all commodities, especially iron and other components of steel making like zinc, nickel, and strategic metals. IMO, this may also market the start of the Great Hyper Inflation of the 21st Century.
