U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald said in a statement that "the breadth of corruption laid out in these charges is staggering."

Well, this should raise Fitzgerald's profile even higher than it was before. Now, I just dare President Obama to fire him! Instead, Obama going to have to make a statement about how happy he is to have Fitzgerald raking through all the Chicago muck, now that he has he has these new charges to add to all the previous "pay to play" charges. I wonder if Obama's skills are up to looking sincere while he makes this statement? I expect not.

Fitzgerald is probably feeling grateful to this turn of circumstances, when he is not being amazed that Blagojevich could possibly be this stupid.
