Symm recently sold to Sk of korea some of the new edgeQam servers(DTI) for bursting data faster upto 150 mbps. This has a fairly good future for Symm around the world for cableTV markets. Edge is data compression; Qam is quadratic amplitude modulation, which extend channels of data transmission.

But more important is the future of edgeQam tuner(chipset) in USB bus of each computer. It may have to be borrowing the atomic clock from GPS satellites or backup local atomic clocks in the data centers to synchronize PLL for carrier and subcarrier frequencies.

EdgeQam added more markets for Symm, and new data centers all have to use edgeQam technology shortly to replace intranet switching hubs. New computers of mainframe design uses USB pipelines of multi channels(64-256) of subcarrier channels(USB v1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0).

Hopefully, Symm will set some of the standards for data center communications channels.
