No mistake.
Who really wants to hold anything long or short in this market?
We closed crappy, but who's to say the Treasury isn't going to come out with the STRUP program tomorrow?
(Stock Total Ramp Up Program)

Only advice:
1) Trade small, 1/3 or 1/4 positions you'd normally do and use stops to keep winners from going big negative in the matter of 30 minutes and to get OUT ASAP when you are wrong.

2)5-10-20% moves, start taking profits & move stops

3) No margin

4) Daytrade & go flat everyday so you can sleep easy.

(I have not been doing #4 and it's not worth the hassle unless you have very small exposure)
