What did we "win" in Iraq Dave?

"The win in Iraq will form a platform for democracy in the region and will greatly reduce the future threat of terrorism against the US in future years."

Since there was no terrorism directed against the US coming from Iraq before we invaded, how are we any safer? We might as well have invaded Norway.

So again, what did we "win" for a Trillion?
