Blago replace Rosto in congress who along with reagan wrote the 1982?? tax reform act. Rosto wound up in prison being in charge of boiler maintenance. Now blago will soon joint last IL governator ryan in prison. All IL pols touched in some way by rampant corruption in the state. Nothing new there. A few notes: 1. Axelrod refused to work on Blago election campaign 2. Rahm Emanuel replaced blago in congress and rumor is there have been sharp exchanges. 3. Obama has steered clear of this mess but in 2006 did run with Blago as head of ticket. He supported him. Some negative connotation in that among the purists. 4. Obama hurt by this even though blago uses expletives against him. Any pol in IL hurt by this, particularly dems. 5. We owe richard nixon a lot for not challenging 60 results in IL which would have made nixon president because of vote fraud in chicago by the former mayor daly. 6. if nixon had been pres in 1960, no watergate. (g)
