I support him 100%. I hope he's a success and that I'm proven wrong about my concerns. At this point, I'd you were more right than I was -- if his appointments are any indication, he does not intend to cater to the Left as much as I thought. Of course, time will tell how he truly wants to govern.

In fact, at this point, he looks like a continuation of the Bush foreign policy, which is okay with me.

I've never believed that presidents have that much to do with domestic policy except where they have a Congress that backs them. Bush didn't have, so he had very little influence on domestic policy (until the bailout, which he has totally f*cked up, IMO). Obama does have congress who'll rubber stamp his interests, so we'll see what happens.
