I think it's a pretty sad commentary on this country's values. Those who have diligently put money aside for a rainy day have seen the income on those savings go to nothing. Those who talked into believing they were saving by putting money in the stock market have been creamed as well.

Seems like the only ones who make out are the ones who borrow beyond their means and make pigs of themselves. Those people the politicians beat their breast over and say we must save.
