Hey, shorty.... Think you might have mis-heard something. Nobody said that "Obama" "made the phone call". What the articles have been reporting though is that the two were enemies, not 'friends'. (The Gov. wanted to run for President, and Obama aced him out of that... Obama's intervention with the State Legislature broke a stalemate and got a reform bill enacted into law which the Gov. strongly OPPOSED --- he's on the FBI tapes cursing about it <g> --- because he thought it would crimp his ability to shake-down donors.) And, the evidence appears to show that the Obama campaign handled contacts with the Gov. with a '20 foot pole'. <GGG> Also, it was the FOX Affiliate in Illinois, (not me <g>), that reported that Obama's Chief of Staff Rahm Emanual passed information on to the FBI when he became aware that the Governor was trying to shake cash or personal favors out of the interim Senate nomination... although the report did say that the investigation long preceded that tip. And, LOL!, there are all of those recordings of the Gov. that the FBI made... with him calling the President-elect a "M***F***" and such.... Hardly typical behavior for 'tight friends'. :-)
