2000, not likely, that's 250% from here, pretty abrupt ... more something like 1200 imho, 1500 maybe, that's plenty to alert markets to the new level of fiat, and not enough to be scarey ... they'll still want to keep control

Devaluations - i got moderate benefit from the '94 devaluation of the peso, could have had much more, passed up the chance to buy the sweetest little hotel for about the price of a low-end house here in BC ... small colonial era town in a nice area, solid building partly built of stone, great staff who could have run it forever [and likely still are] ... but, just decided i wasn't ready for the hotel business, plus there was a woman elsewhere, so just moved on
