of course they got jim mcdougal before he could talk

And then Clinton pardoned Susan McDougal for refusing to spill the beans on the Clintons. I always suspected that the real reason Marc Rich got pardoned was to more outrageous than her pardon so that everyone would be talking about Rich instead of McDougal.
