Well, you can call me a cockeyed optimist, but I really don't see any way the Obama admin could be as incompetent as the Bush admin. was.

After all, the Bush admin. started out with the notion that government doesn't work. So, it was perfectly fine to appoint cronys who knew nothing about the agencies they were to run, parts of the economy they were to regulate and on down into the guts of the government. All they had to be was loyal to Bush. Where the Bushies DID give a shit, they appointed representatives of polluters to run the EPA, land rapers to run the Interior Dept. and Bureau of Land Management and drug companies to run the FDA.

All Obama has to do to be better is to TRY to appoint people with the best interests of Americans as job one.
