Bob often laments the cost of set-top boxes even manufactured in Brazil. Since China has upgraded their semiconductor industry to 45 nm linewidth lithography; edgeQam USB cable modem with single channel or multiple channel modem can be manufactured much cheaper. USB is much more simpler than ethernet set-top boxes? ARRS had a head start a few months ago when I requested USB modems or set-top boxes?
