I have come to be totally disgusted with Senator Honda Shelby, even more so than Senator Dodd. He is willing to destroy the only remaining large manufacturing industry in the country for what is pretty clearly a personal vendetta. The stock market will easily lose 14 billion today, and many will suffer unnecessarily because of Shelby. Even Toyota came out overnight and said a bankruptcy by GM would be very bad for the entire North American auto industry. GM is now preparing bankruptcy paperwork. Incredible incompetence by the Senate as the financial companies continue to squander TARP funds.
