I agree. The White House, Treasury, or Fed needs to step in today, or Monday at the latest. The situation is going to rapidly escalate to the point of no return thanks to the incompetence of the Republican Senate leadership.

I still can't believe the Senate was so stupid, and was hearing the same comments from instructors and students at school this morning. Some weren't as gracious as I am ;o)

Senator Stabenow was saying everyone was on board with the plan, even the White House. At the last minute the Republican leaders started making outrageous demands of the UAW leadership. If the UAW agreed to one demand the Senators just made another demand. It was obvious to everyone that the Republicans were not acting in good faith, so everyone decided it was a waste of time continuing to negotiate.

Then those same Senators came on TV this morning and prattled on about how they tried to reach an agreement.
