In practice as well. Accidents and other forms of unintentional actions at worst amount to recklessness, not the same as intention.

You're unending metal disection and judgement of possible choices in life somehow seems to directly oppose certain main thrusts of Jesus teachings

There is overlap between the churches position and mine, but they aren't the same thing. I was talking about the churches position (except for the parenthetical comments about how I disagreed about contraception)

As for the idea that opposition to abortion directly opposes the main thrust of Jesus' teachings, well that's highly questionable to say the least.

Not that I'm all that religious, or am against abortion because of what I think Jesus said, or the church says.
