Why did you mention the SC on marriage then? The SC hasn't said same sex marriage is a basic civil right of man.

I know you look forward to a court over-ruling public opinion and forcing liberal values on everyone.

I think it would be very divisive and socially harmful for the courts to wage war on the values of a majority of the populace. Even in a liberal state like CA.
