Yes, I wonder about that as well. Are China and India's internal markets anywhere close to strong enough for that? They would appear to be the prime candidates.

I remember reading years ago on the Asia thread (now defunct) that China had acres and acres of warehouses filled with clothing and other unsold goods--produced more to keep people busy than to sell. There are some enormous imbalances in the world economy. It is hard to see how things will get to some sort of equilibrium.
