Also we haven't spent $3tril on Iraq. But since that's a whole different subject, I'll accept the figure for the sake of argument for the rest of the conversation, rather than obscuring the issue being discussed.


I'm glad you made that point.

There have been multiple instances of these people having read this utterly ridiculous book, "The Three Trillion Dollar War", and coming here with that tripe claiming it to be true.

We know, of course, the true cost of the Iraq War is just under $600 Billion, still a staggering sum, but way less than what Bush is throwing at this industry after that and way less than the $3T claimed in that ridiculous book.
