Amazing where one can find an occasional stunningly honest assessment of alternative energy investments. It will be ignored there, like an impolite fart at a dinner party, so I'll repost it here:

On the alternative energy thing, one does not "invest" in alternative energy, one "gambles" on it or at best "speculates" in it.

Otherwise please point me to financially successful alt energy investments from the past ... fuel cells were a money pit and ethanol was an incinerator of capital and now it looks like solar is doing the same thing, and all of a sudden wind isn't looking too good ... if Obama decides to throw some money down this hole I guess I can live with it but please do not insult my intelligence by calling it an "investment."
