Nice quote. Thomas Jefferson was one of our more cerebral Founding Fathers.

The thing is Everybody Knows this whole thing is rigged. We think it's a land of opportunity where the straight and narrow Everyman like you and I can get a fair shake. But we do what we're supposed to do and don't live beyond our means and then some crooks bring the house down in the financial sector and in one year, we lose 40% of what we've worked for over decades.

In times like these, I EXPECT the government to step in and bring the balance back to shore up the middle class. Trickle down theory is a bill of goods sold to us by the rich who have rigged this system so that they stay rich and if they make mistakes or cheat the rest of us, they'll always be bailed out. Everybody Knows this.
