He didn't move to the right as much as you seem to think. He still spoke about health care, bailouts, going green and getting out of Iraq.

Having said that, Obama ran a campaign that encourages inclusiveness. That means considering your issues as well when developing his policies.

If he governs as a centrist I will have no problem with him. My primary concern with him was his extremism. If he tries to go nuts with, for example, healthcare, he'll lose support of the people -- who know damned well they don't want single payer. OTOH, if he wants to tinker with the current system and try to improve it, that'll be okay with me.

As to "going green", he has no idea what he's talking about. His big suggestions during the campaign were (a) airing up tires and (b) putting 1,000,000 electric cars on the roads in a decade, neither of which would have an appreciable effect on our energy dependence.

Getting out of Iraq would have happened if we'd elected Millard Fillmore. It has nothing to do with Obama. It has to do with the fact that Bush won the war.

So, I really don't see anything significant in what you're talking about.
