It is a good article. And, it also points out that there is little reason to try to bail out the big three.

"If we miss the chance to win the race for Car 2.0 because we keep mindlessly bailing out Car 1.0, there will be no one to blame more than Detroit’s new shareholders: we the taxpayers."


Who says GM can't produce Car 2.0? Isn't that what the Volt is about? And whose says that Car 2.0 needs to come in one shape and size?
