I think, over the next few years, RR will loose his sainted status except among the titanic true believers on the right.
Not only is our economic mess traceable back to the "greed is good, taxes and regulations are for the poor" and the massively out of control budgets of Raygun, but so is a large part of the energy-enviro mess, beginning when he tore out Carter's solar panels. And, our rogue nation status goes back to the good old American cowboy days of Iraq Contragate, and a few attacks on such powerhouses as Grenada, along with beginning to ignore international conventions like land mines, etc. Everything else, including ignoring the Geneva Convention and the UN Charter, follows. I think ignoring the Constitution is really a Shrub creation, tho. |
