The principal "modification" Obama needs is "behavior modification." His knee jerk response to everything is a denial. All his apologists are falling over themselves in his defense because he did nothing wrong, per Blago's own recorded comments. They're missing the point. Obama should have known had to handle this. The fact that he did not is a testament to his lack of readiness for this job and the fact that he's been the subject of a group coddle by the national press for over two years. The truth is that he was actively campaigning for Blago not that many years ago. If you campaign for someone the way Obama did, you are vouching for him. Goes to show how little Obama's words mean. Don't get me wrong. I know that sometimes pols campaign for people they're not crazy about. However, if I thought a pol were dishonest, I would not mislead the public and stake my reputation on a person I couldn't trust.
