Dear Joe:

I notice that it is comparing future CPUs to current ones. Don't you think AMD will have faster ones by then? Ones using HT3? I notice they didn't include quad socket Shanghais or even octal socket Shanghais currently available, both the HP DL785G2 and the Sun X4600M2.

The Sun 4600M2 has a SAP published score of 39270:

The highest Xeon score is using IBM's hurricane chipset and 8 Dunningtons of 46170:

HP DL785G2 has a score of 35400:

The same HP DL785G2 with 8360SEs has a score of 26180:

So their little sometime in the future CPUs can't even get past a server using old Barcelonas at 60% of their clock. No wonder they didn't want to use those scores for comparison.
